Preservation Solutions’ Restoration Leather Conditioner is designed to soften fragile, brittle and difficult to penetrate leather and/or leather showing signs of flaking or peeling. It is safe to use as it does not contain water, so it can be used on leather where moisture should not be introduced, as moisture can promote further deterioration.
Directions
This is a high quality leather conditioner recommended for treating leather that is starting to show signs of deterioration. It fixes to the leather to prevent migration and stops further deterioration.
Restoration Leather Conditioner is ideal for treating leather book bindings as it will not harm the stitching or the glue. Ideal for embossed leather as it will not swell the leather.
Restoration Leather Conditioner will not darken the leather or leave it tacky.
Directions: Do not dilute. The leather should be clean from dust and dirt. Using a soft, lint-free cloth, apply an even coating to all areas of the leather. If the leather is extremely dry, allow the first coat to dry, then reapply.
When treating leather book bindings, use caution not to allow the Restoration Leather Conditioner to contact the paper.
Coverage: An 8 ounce size bottle of Restoration Leather Conditioner will treat approximately 8 12 leather books or 1- 2 antique leather articles such as saddles, gun cases or holsters.
